Details of event

The Malaysia National Band Competition (NATCOMP) is Malaysia’s Premier Band Competition that showcases best of the best bands in Malaysia for the coveted National Champion. The Malaysian Band Association in partnership with Ministry of Education Malaysia and Z.I Production Sdn Bhd went on a mission nationwide to search for the top 10 bands in the country and we now have the best of the best to compete at the National Finals on 17 July 2011 in Kuala Lumpur.

After 6 preliminary rounds held nationwide in 6 states where 38 marching band teams completed, it has come down to this – the top 10 teams who will be vying for the championship in the Malaysia National Band Competition (NATCOMP) 2011.

The spot light will be shining brightly on the TOP 10 finalists – SMK Sultanah Asma (Kedah), St John’s Institution (Kuala Lumpur), Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid (Kedah), SMK Tun Fatimah (Johor), SMK (P) Methodist (Pahang), SMK Seri Garing (Selangor), SMJK Jit Sin (Penang), SMK Tinggi Klang (Selangor), Pasir Gudang Band (Johor) and SMJK Chung Ling (Penang). Be part of history and witness who will be crowned NATCOMP 2011 Champions and ultimately grab the title of the best band in Malaysia including the grand prize money of RM 5,000! The first and second runner-up will walk away with a trophy each plus cash prizes of RM3,000 and RM1,000 respectively. Bands judged with the Best Hornline, the Best Percussion, the Best Colour Guard and the  Best Drum Major will also be awarded.
